New GPO Executive for the DCGreens

| would like to welcome the new Dufferin-Caledon executive for the Ontario Greens. The new executive was voted in at the AGM on Thursday June 26th at the Inglewood Community Centre. Many thanks to those who came out and participated. In addition to the election of the executive, Sharon Sommerville, of Headwaters STOP the 413, provided an informative update on the 413, and Bills 5 and 17. | would like to thank outgoing executive members Bernadette Hardaker and Peter Yan for their amazing contribution over the past 2 years. You will be surely missed on the team. | would also like to welcome 3 new members to the executive: Julie Michon, Anthony Irwin, and Madeline Gibson. We are exited to have you join the team. The new GPO executive roster is as follows:

413 and Bill 5 Update

We are in it for the long haul!

Bill 5 — a dangerous law that guts protections for endangered species, creates lawless zones (Economic Zones) for insider developers, and violates the constitutional rights of Indigenous Nations-is now Law. It fast-tracks destructive development without full environmental assessments or public input and threatens our water, our climate, and our democracy.

Is the 413 destined to become one of Ford's "Special Economic Zones" where companies will be allowed to violate any and all provincial laws that his cabinet chooses in order to push through projects.

In order to have the Bill repealed, we need to maintain the pressure on MPPs and the government overall.
