A proposal has been made to establish a new quarry on a 798-acre land north of Cataract and the Forks of the Credit Provincial Park. The quarry is expected to involve extensive blasting and will go well below the existing water table. This will have a significant impact on the local residents, farmland, traffic and the ecology.
